Biography

INLANDER is a group of young men who agreed to close ranks in 2001 due to the similarities and interests in music, creating music with a sound background of diverse character and combine it into songs. The musical character involves rough shouting vocals, fast guitar shredding, melodic guitar solos, heavy basses, rhythmic double bass drumming. All those blend in a harmonic sound resulted into songs.

The name " INLANDER" is taken from the Dutch as a nickname for the natives who live and inhabit imperialist colonies in the archipelago, because all the members are from the indigenous people commoners. This pejorative and discriminatory word has become a social & politic motivation to voice the slogans of awareness for are oppressed by the legacy of the colonial system which in fact is still entrenched in this archipelago to this day in the form of mental slavery from behind the scenes to control the entire aspects of the lives of ordinary people all over the archipelago knowingly or below the conscious mind. Those things become the themes in lyric writings, written in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Live performances spread around Jakarta, Bogor, and Tangerang, even to neighboring country, Malaysia, from 2002 to present. Some of the stages were Maxx Noise Fest, Blackhole music events, Bulungan Extreme Fest, JB MetalFest, and other similar events.

On August 2011, the first album, "Para Bellum" (from Latin: Prepare For War), containing 6 songs was released under Purimusik Records label, and distributed by Demajors..One of the song, "Bombardir" was nominated for "Best Punk/Hardcore/Post-hardcore Song" by the Indonesia Cutting Edge Music Award 2012 (ICEMA) board of jury.

On August 2012, single "Para Bellum" was released publicly, followed by another single, "Redshield" on September 2012, Both singles are available for free download in the internet.

Now the band is in the final stage of mixing for the upcoming album, planned to be launched in the near future.
