Coming together in mid-2004 as a joke, Bandung, Indonesia's RAJASINGA confounded their own expectations by creating some of the most boundary-breaking, forward-thinking music in the scene.
Combining their riff-heavy, lo-fi grindcore with a sort of HELMET-style rock sleaziness on their most recent album, 2011's "Rajagnaruk", a whole new experiment in packaging and poetry, expect this freewheeling three-piece to deliver a groove-laden grindcore headfuck at OBSCENE EXTREME 2013!!!
Biography
RAJASINGA began from a "joke". Never really intended to be a serious band project or dream of becoming one of the successful band in Indonesia. Started in the middle of 2004, came from the Northeast of Bandung, with a great passion to play fast and heavy music. The band main influences were many from Grind, Heavy Metal, and Rock bands. In 2006, the band self-released their first live-demo album, and caught Strain Eyes Productions (Malaysian records company) attention, then a record deal was settled for "Pandora" (2007) the band's debut full length. It was successful, and followed by many local, and SouthEast Asia region tour. After realised that the band is getting more bigger audience, bigger events, and relentless touring, the thing is getting more serious. The second album "Rajagnaruk" (2011, Negrijuana Records) prove that. The band tried to put their own signature and statements through the music. "Rajagnaruk" was their mark in Indonesian music history, noted as one of the best Indonesian album year 2011, by many local media. "Well, that wasn't so bad.. hahaha" said the band.
The GrindRockers are:
Morrg (Bark, 4 String)
Biman (Roar, 6 String)
